For the first time, it is now possible to support the work and initiatives of the Inter-Parliamentary Alliance on China (IPAC) via the official website (www.ipac.global/support).
Previously, IPAC’s fundraising policy prohibited public donations. IPAC’s Co-Chairs decided to open IPAC to public support to enable support from those wishing to contribute to the global legislatory movement to push back against the behaviour of the Chinese government.
IPAC is a global coalition of lawmakers working across borders and party politics to reform policy of China. Starting from a small network of lawmakers from 8 legislatures in 2020, now IPAC boasts an alliance of over 290 lawmakers members in 41 legislatures, pushing for concrete change in the world’s parliaments.
Recently, IPAC’s #Initiative2758 secured a 7th parliamentary motion to push back against Beijing’s distortion of international law regarding Taiwan.
Luke de Pulford, the Executive Director of IPAC, said:
“The world stands at a critical juncture and IPAC is serving an essential function in framing the China debate worldwide. I’m delighted that those who wish to support IPAC’s mission are finally able to do so.”
One of the first organisations to support IPAC following this announcement is Hello Taiwan.
Mr. Ming Chiang, of Hello Taiwan said:
